Lemon ‘Squared’

Spent the weekend with my sister Thea and cousins Reese and Denice. We’ve been planning a day spent on baking for ages. And we finally did. Early Sunday morning we managed to bake some Lemon Bars- an all-time favorite. It was ecstatic and very relaxing.

Here’s a few snapshots of our preparations.

My cousin Reese taking over. Good job for a first timer. :)

Busy bees :)

My cousin Reese accidentally poured the Lemon juice onto the crust batter!

All shocked! the last lemons we’ve got! oh my!

Panic-y! We did nothing but to cross our fingers :x

Alas! There’s 2 more in the fridge! Whew! Thank goodness!

Was finally able to make the crust batter and started placing them evenly onto the silicon squared pan

Baked them for 15mins or until the crust is almost done. We didn’t want to over bake it for it will need another 15mins when the top filling is done :)

And now we’re ready to pour the lemon filling. We poured a generous amount! :)

Then straight to the oven for another 15mins or until filling has set.

Tadah!! My cousins did a great job! It looks yummy!

Now, here’s my cousin Denice, all excited and happy about the outcome. Now we will have to taste it :)
Tasted it and it’s soo good! I am so proud of you guys!
You learned fast and I can feel how you love this recipe and I am nothing but thrilled doing this session with you. I love you guys! Till our next recipe! :)
